Facebook Breakthrough – 14 February 2014

Some of you may have recently read tucked away in the nether regions of the Internet some mention of Facebook’s radical breakthrough in greatly expanding its list of possible genders for your profile, all driven by an increased sensitivity to the needs of transgender Facebookers.  Well yes, i support this, as i do all measures providing increased freedoms.  But that said, just how many people is this new policy going to affect?  I mean, what percentage of the population is transgender?  Frankly, i’d be even happier if they offered a new gender category that would be of use to me and millions of others:  “retired”.

But no, the fact that i’ve been retired for many years does not mean that i wouldn’t support legislation requiring all construction workers to be attired exclusively in aprons:
